Collaborative Law, unlike Mediation, requires that each spouse, together with his or her attorney, commit to work with respect and compassion to reach a settlement outside the courts that is workable for all parties outside of the courts. Compared to litigation, Collaborative Law is generally a quicker, less-stressful, and cost-efficient process for everyone involved. The focus is on solving problems and resolving important issues while making the best interest of the children the focus of negotiation.
